Waterproofing Products

A wide range of building defects can result in rainwater entering the building. The symptoms are usually obvious, for example, water dripping through a ceiling.

Safeguard South Africa supply a range of products to treat waterproofing problems common in buildings in Southern Africa:

Acrylseal - an acrylic waterproofer for waterproofing roofs, parapets and flashings. Used in conjunction with Acryl-Membrane.

Acryl Fibre - a fibre-reinforced acrylic waterproofer which performs much the same task as acrylic waterproofer and membrane,

Flexseal - A multi-purpose, acrylic-based emulsion, which is mixed with portland cement and applied in conjunction with flexseal membrane. Flexseal can be used for waterproofing of balconies (before tiling), flower boxes, soil-retaining walls, showers, reservoirs, and ponds.

Raindance - a water-based, colourless siloxane water-repellant for protecting against rain penetration of face brick walls. Sold in concentrated form.

Raincheck - A colourless siloxane water-repellent for preventing rain penetration through outside walls. Sold ready-to-use.

Storm Dry - a colourless, breathable water repellant cream that provides deep penetration of the substrate protecting against rain penetration and storm water whilst improving thermal efficiency.

Thermo-Ins a thermal insulating plaster with fire retardant and waterproofing properties. Ideal for protection of high risk areas such as computer rooms, document storage areas etc,

SWS & Latseal Slurry - a cement-based, polymer modified powder, which is mixed with water (or diluted Bondaid Plus) and applied by block-brush or trowel. Once cured, SWS & Latseal Slurry form a waterproof barrier. They have a wide range of waterproofing applications, but are particularly suited to waterproofing reservoirs and basements.

Rapid Setting Plug - a rapid-setting mortar to seal leaks and stop running water. Typically used in underground situations where waterproofing on the negative side of the wall has failed at one point. Sets in 30-60 seconds. Useful for leaking roofs in underground parking.

Torch-on Membrane - 4mm polyester re-inforced bitumen membrane for use on flat roofs, balconies and foundations etc.

Bitumen Aluminium Paint - a solvent-based Bitumen pigmented with Aluminium flakes to provide UV protection to Bituminous roof coverings.

Rubberised Bitumen - a water-based emulsion suitable for use on flashings, parapet walls, corrugated iron roofs etc. Cold applied by brush or roller
