Flexseal is a multi-purpose, acrylic-based emulsion, which is mixed with portland cement and applied in conjunction with flexseal membrane.
Flexseal can be used for waterproofing of balconies (before tiling), flower boxes, soil-retaining walls, showers, reservoirs, and ponds.
Flexseal is an acrylic-based emuslsion, designed to be mixed with portland cement to improve water-resistance and adhesion. It is normally used in conjunction with Flexseal Membrane, a geotextile membrane, which adds to the strength to the system, and gives additional resistance to structural movement.
Popular uses for Flexseal include:
- Sealing of Balconies and Verandahs before tiling.
- Waterproofing of Flower boxes.
- Waterproofing of Soil-retaining walls.
- Waterproofing of Showers.
- Waterproofing of Reservoirs.
- Waterproofing of Ponds.
All surfaces must be clean and thoroughly sound before application of Flexseal.
1 litre of Flexseal mixed with 1 litre of water and 3.4kg of cement will produce 2.5 litres of waterproof slurry sufficient for approximately 1sqm of substrate.
Only mix sufficient product that can be used within 90 minutes. NEVER add more liquid.
The slurry should be protected from wind, direct sunlight and rain for at least 24hrs after application.
Uncured Flexseal can be removed with water. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
